The weather is finally cooler! I was so excited to run today but with a meeting I did not get home til 7. And at 6:30 buckets of rain was coming down. However by 7 it had slowed down enough to give me some visibility so I was able to run in cool weather!! I was so excited by this I took off and I covered 2 miles in roughly 11 minutes. I finished the next 2 miles in just under 14 however, partly because I went out to fast but mostly because the rain on my clothes made me feel like I was carrying at least 5 lbs extra weight. Anyways by far my best run in a while. Good to see that when conditions are better for running I still had a little of the old speed. Hopefully my next few races are in similar conditions (except the rain!)
